Congratulations Sir Eric Peacock!

e-Careers Chairman, Sir Eric Peacock, has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by Glasgow Caledonian University in recognition of his outstanding contribution to luxury and international trade.

Sir Eric was appointed as a non-executive director of the UK Export Finance Board in 2011. He was knighted in 2003 for his services to international trade and previously sat on boards of UK Trade & Investment, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. He also currently leads the Peacock Foundation, Uniqueness and the AB Trust, all of which focus on enhancing the health and well-being of disadvantaged children and young adults.

Sir Eric was appointed as e-Careers Chairman back in 2015, bringing an abundance of experience and knowledge to our business which has seen us go from strength to strength in every area, including business development and strategic markets. He is a serial entrepreneur with a real passion for the growth of leadership and business optimisation.

On receiving the award, he said: “Little did I think when I graduated so many years ago that I would be recognised by a university from my home city. Caledonian University has a very proud legacy and a great commitment to the social good and I think it’s always great when your home city recognise what you’ve achieved on an international stage. I’m deeply humbled.”

He received the award at GCU’s winter ceremony in Christ Church, Spitalfields, alongside being appointed as a GCU Honorary Professor.

Everyone at e-Careers would like to give Sir Eric massive congratulations on his latest in a long line of achievements. It’s an honour for us to be a part of this successful story at the heart of business and international trade.
