As part of the IOSH Managing Safely course, you must complete an exam and a practical assessment. This training course includes official exams and assessments. 

Written assessment

• Exam Format - Multiple formats (multiple choice, true or false, short answer, etc.) 
• Number of questions - 30.
• Duration - 45 minutes
• Pass Mark - 36 out of 60 (60%)

Risk assessment

Additionally, you also need to carry out a practical risk assessment within two weeks of finishing your study materials. We will supply a template. To successfully pass, you must achieve a minimum score of 23 out of 38.

Completing the course and passing the examination leads to an IOSH Managing Safely certificate. You can get your IOSH certificate 6-10 weeks after passing the examinations.

There are no prerequisites to studying the IOSH Managing Safely course. However, you need to be fluent in English to comprehend your lessons. You also need to have access to a laptop to attend your virtual classes.

Does the IOSH Managing Safely certificate have an expiration date?

No. All IOSH certificates don't expire. However, we recommend taking a Managing Safely refresher course to stay current.
